“Beating fools and charlatans” was our lead last week. As we watch what’s going on in D.C., and for that matter any number of states, we are reminded that the need to fight woke insanity is a challenge that must be met, but it is also one that, if we persevere, is a fight we can win, and win relatively easily. How so? We have on our side, apart from right and sanity, sheer numbers and proven ideas, ideas that work in the real world.

And what do the wokie dopes have, these people who can’t discern realities as basic as there being just two sexes and not as many as the letters of the alphabet, these people who don’t comprehend that a baby as yet unborn is a person and not a mere inconvenience, these people who think communism works, that theft is a right, that the police are the problem, that white people are born-in-the-blood racists? Soap Box could go on, but we all know the wokie dopes for what they are.

The woke dopes represent a blend of communism, fascism, and despotism leavened with ignorance, greed and envy. They imagine an impossible kind of governance.

The saner side of our citizenry, the clear and vast majority, are becoming aware of two salient points that will galvanize opposition to the woke agenda.

It will soon be shown that the Democrat Party stole the past presidential election. People will not like that. And they will be even angrier at those who were complicit in the coverup.

That knowledge, combined with a growing awareness that inflation isn’t temporary, but here to stay, will sour millions on “progressivism” as personal incomes, especially fixed income dollars buy less and less.

The Democrat Party, the nation’s new American Communist Party, has an answer for all this, including a shrinking dollar.  Simply put, a party not answerable to the people need not worry about what people think. Consider for example: no sane American likes Biden’s open border policy, a policy with no purpose other than to bring in future Democrat voters, and a policy with absolutely no regard for public opinion or the consequential dead, raped, and robbed on both border sides.

“It matters not who votes. It matters who counts the votes,” is an old saying, one the wokies have taken to heart.

Of the many things we, the sane, can do to counter wokie dope trends, is to re-secure our right to an honest vote. We must, each of us, play a part in making it easier to vote but harder to cheat, via the enactment of common and sensible laws.

Here’s what Soap Box Buddy is doing and what we hope you, good Citizen, will consider doing as well. Buddy plans to become involved in the election process, know how things work, just how voting is done, from ballot preparation to casting to counting.

Begin with your county office that manages elections. If you have the time, sign up to assist with elections and vote counts. Our own county, Tarrant, has a four-hour class for aspiring election workers. You need not do this alone. Get together with like-minded family, friends and business associates. There is always strength in numbers.

Learn how the voting process works top to bottom. Once you understand the process, you’ll be able to spot fraud should it occur.

Voting machines, for example, are easily hacked and have been. Do you want your county vote vulnerable in that way or do you think, as Soap Box does, that a return to paper ballots that cannot be hacked represent the best way to restore public faith in the election process?

This nation cannot afford more stolen elections, especially when such elections produce the kind of dismal governance we are currently enduring.

If you support the deep state, you can loot, burn, and attack the police with impunity. But now “Mr. I am Science so don’t question me” Fauci and the equally discredited CDC have added a new verse to that old tune, “You put your mask right on, you take your mask right off, you put your mask right on, and you shake your head in doubt. You do the Hokey Pokey and you say it’s all so wrong.  That’s what it’s all about!” This version is the Wokie Pokey!

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is pleading with citizens to come back to New York City. It will take more than Cuomo’s pleas to get people to return to higher taxes and more severe regulations. “When people vote—with a moving van or a U-Haul truck—they vote for lower taxes and smaller government,” says Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Chuck DeVore. “And it isn’t likely that politicians in California or New York will reverse course anytime soon to stem the flood of people moving out by cutting taxes and trimming red tape.”

This week’s Aesop’s Fable: The Crow and the Pitcher

A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Pitcher which had once been full of water; but when the Crow put his beak into the mouth of the Pitcher, he found that only very little water was left

in it, and that he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair.

Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher.

Moral of the Fable: Little by little does the trick. We citizens, each doing our small but vital part, will like the Crow quench our thirst for those things we most cherish and want to keep, beginning with those freedoms granted us by God and enshrined in our nation’s Constitution.

Here we are blessed with an outstanding piece of investigative journalism, the kind the woke media has forsaken.  If you want to know what the self-anointed “Mr. Science Fauci knew about what was going on in the Wuhan Institute lab complex and how he was directly involved, click here. You’ll see a complete time line peppered with images of the man’s own emails, emails that leave no doubt as to his involvement, including what he know, when he knew it, and his efforts to cover his tracks.

Why, Soap Box wonders, did our nation PAY millions of dollars to an avowed enemy, the Communist Chinese government, to conduct potentially lethal gain-of-function biological experiments? Potentially lethal? Millions of people worldwide are already dead and more will die. The Chinese virus escaped from a Chinese bio-weapons lab, but idiots that our leaders are, we paid for it. Thus, the guilt falls on our nation as well.

The release was accidental. Almost certainly not intentional. The commies aren’t stupid. If the release had been intentional, the release would have been in London or New York City, not next door to their Wuhan lab.

But once the virus began its spread and the Chinese leadership saw their people dying, they let their shop-built killer virus spread to other countries, even as they sought to contain the spread at home. Never has a commie government been concerned about the lives of its subjects. But their economy was a concern.  To the extent that Covid weakened China, it was important to Chinese leaders that other nations be weakened as well.  Given that free nations do care about their citizens, the reds got what they wanted. Worldwide economies were crippled even as millions died.

The Chinese know they have a weapon better than any bullet.

We can be sure the next virus to come out of a Chinese Communist biochemical warfare lab won’t appear in China. And come to think of it, maybe new iterations have already arrived. Consider the new, more contagious strains. Not one of them originated in China. Who knows? The mad scientists of Wuhan may be working overtime.

At that moment, Fauci knew NIH had not only approved funding for the Wuhan Institute but that his office had directly provided funding to Dr. Shi to conduct dangerous gain of function experiments on bat coronaviruses. Ultimately, as recently released emails show, NIH was planning on providing the Wuhan Institute with a total of $1.5 million in funding to continue its dangerous coronavirus experiments. Fauci directly oversaw $826,277 in funding being sent to the Wuhan Institute over a 6-year period starting in 2014.

On March 9, 2020, Fauci commented that: “If you are a healthy young person, there is no reason if you want to go on a cruise ship, go on a cruise ship.”

Fauci’s obfuscation of the potential Wuhan lab leak had real world consequences. One study found that if China had been more transparent with the world about how dangerous COVID-19 was and quarantined Wuhan just three weeks earlier, the number of people infected with the virus would have been reduced by 95%.

Most importantly, if Fauci had come clean and told President Trump in January 2020 that COVID-19 had the hallmarks of being “engineered” and that the NIH was funding the Wuhan lab, imagine how the American government’s response could have changed. The White House would have known before a single American died that the virus was likely manipulated by the Chinese and therefore extremely dangerous. The U.S. could have led a coalition of nations in conducting a comprehensive investigation of the Wuhan Institute, and Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia could have cut off travel more quickly from China. At the very least, American taxpayer dollars could have stopped flowing to the Wuhan lab, which continued receiving U.S. funding until April 2020.

An Iranian defector who won an Olympic silver medal in judo bucked the trend on Tuesday, dedicating his medal to Israel and thanking the country in Hebrew for his second-place finish in the men’s 81kg judo final.

Saeid Mollaei “dedicated his first-ever Olympic medal to Israel and thanked the country for the support they have given him after a nail-biting final,” the Daily Mail reported Tuesday afternoon. “The judo world champion, who trained in Israel with their national judo team in the months before the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, thanked the country in Hebrew as he dedicated his first-ever Olympic medal to Israel.”

“‘Thank you to Israel for the good energy,” Mollaei reportedly told the Israeli Sports Channel after losing the final match to a Japanese athlete. “This medal is dedicated also to Israel.”

Mollaei now competes for Mongolia after defecting to Germany during the 2019 Judo World Championships. He left the Iranian team, despite being one of the team’s up-and-coming stars after Iran’s minister demanded that he withdraw from a judo match rather than spar with an Israeli athlete — something at least two competitors have done this Olympics alone.

The Israeli competitor he was ordered not to touch, Sag Muki, also competed in Tokyo but was eliminated early on after losing to a competitor from Austria. He had only praise for Mollaei, calling him his “close friend” and praising him for “achieving his dream.”

As The Daily Wire reported Monday, at least two athletes have withdrawn from judo competitions in Tokyo rather than face an Israeli athlete.

“Algeria’s Fetih Nourine withdrew from competition on Saturday rather than have to face Israel’s Tohar Butbul, who ended up finishing in 7th place after losing to an athlete from South Korea. Sudan’s Mohamed Abdalarasool did not show up to compete against Butbul during a scheduled match on Monday,” The Daily Wire noted.

Nourine and his coach earned a temporary suspension from international competition for the display, but Nourine claimed “God will compensate” him for believing the “Palestinian cause is bigger” than an Olympic medal.

“We have worked hard to qualify for the Games, but the Palestinian cause is bigger than all that,” he said. “My position is consistent on the Palestinian issue, and I reject normalisation, and if it cost me that absence from the Olympic Games, God will compensate.”

“We were unlucky with the draw, an Israeli opponent came out and that’s why we had to withdraw, we made the right decision,” Nourine’s coach, Amar Benijlef told an Algerian television network, per Middle East Eye. “We have worked hard to qualify for the Games, but the Palestinian cause is bigger than all that.”

Mollaei’s presence in international competition has, recently, been enough to cause ire in Iran. After Mollaei represented his new home country of Mongolia at a competition in Israel earlier this year, the “President of the Iranian Judo Federation Arash Miresmaeili expressed regret that ‘a foolish athlete’ and ‘hollow champion who only thinks of his personal interests has gone to Tel Aviv and is proud of it,’” according to the Daily Mail.

“This is not an honour but a stain of shame on your forehead that will stay with you forever, because you have turned your back on the ideals of the system, on your homeland, and are proud of it,” Miresmaeili said.
