Quotes of the week
“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.” – Babe Ruth
Better yet, you can’t beat 74 million plus people who don’t give up. Winning should be easy, in fact, given that we are fighting stupid incarnate.

Buddy’s Soap Box
A patriotic Texas howdy from Buddy
Imagine a news media consisting solely of the lickspittle types that represent the current majority. Think about the stories that would never leak out. Hunter Biden’s laptop. Chinese buying presidential influence. “Dr.” Fauci’s role in funding the Chinese Frankenstein virus. The theft of a presidential election. These things we know about. But there are other depredations by the elites that as yet have not come to light and never will if we become a one-party nation, a nation ruled by a gaggle of on-the-take thugs, race mongers and, above all, certifiable idiots.
The good news is that a lot of people are seeing through the lies. The old Democrat party is dead, replaced by a woke socialist/communist leadership that uses race to divide us one against another. People are catching on. People are noticing. And it is causing many to rethink decades of past empty promises and lies.
Have you noticed that the cry of “race, race, race” is coming louder and shriller from the left? That’s because it is getting harder and harder for the “progressives” to get traction from their overplayed race card.
This past weekend, my wife, Judy, and I went to San Antonio with friends to enjoy a pleasant weekend. And it was indeed pleasant—good company, the River Walk, the Alamo, open air markets, great dining, picture perfect weather, and EVERYWHERE nice people.
The mask mandate in Texas is pretty much gone everywhere but in some government buildings and medical facilities. And most of Texans are vaccinated. So, we Texans are getting out and enjoying life beyond Covid. We saw that big time last weekend in San Antonio.
Thousands of people were out and about, couples, families with kids, whites, browns, blacks, all of us together—people sharing the place and the day in total harmony. Despite the best efforts of the wokie dopes—those in the media, academia, government, big business, big tech—we were NOT at each other’s throats as we are supposed to be. Rather, we smiled, we talked, we nodded pleasantly, we said “thank you” and “excuse me” and “what a great day.”
The many thousands of us that day and every day, we didn’t hit or shoot each other. Rather, we liked each other, despite being different from each other. And that is a good thing.
Those who peddle discord through the claptrap of critical race theory and cancel culture, those who want equality replaced by “equity,” those who see micro-aggressions without the aid of a microscope, those that burn and loot and attack the police, they and their elite enablers—they are the small, the very small, hateful minority (the only minority to be despised). Such are few, while we the people, people of all and every color, we are the many and we will win.

Food for thought. If the Chinese can buy an American president, even an illegitimate one, who else have they bought? And remember, bribery isn’t China’s only tool. Blackmail is another. When you see a politician do something blindingly not in the nation’s interest and you wonder why…
White elites ARE a threat to blacks and other minorities. In fact, they are the greatest threat.
If you want to observe stupidity beyond its larval stage, observe the thinking of a woke gender bender. Take, for example, their thinking that female athletes forced to compete with male athletes have a shot at winning. A five-year-old of either sex knows better.
“Unfiltered with Dan Bongino,” a new evening show on Fox outdrew CNN and MSNBC combined. Good news indeed, but not surprising. Sane viewers always outnumber the less so. Just another example of why we will win in future elections IF they are fair and honest.

It took fourteen years and an Israeli missile strike on the building housing the Associated Press in Gaza for that news agency to discover that they were sharing the building with Hamas, a terrorist organization. Hmmmm! I think we get it! If they missed something so obvious, maybe it makes sense that they don’t notice such things as Biden’s family being on the take with Russia and China.
This week’s Aesop’s Fable: The Ass, the Weasel, and the Lion
The ass and the weasel, having entered into partnership together for their mutual protection, went out into the forest to hunt. They had not proceeded far when they met a lion. The weasel, seeing imminent danger, approached the lion and promised to contrive for him the capture of the ass if the lion would pledge his word not to harm the weasel. Then, upon assuring the ass that he would not be injured, the weasel led him to a deep pit and arranged that he should fall into it. The lion, seeing that the ass was secured, immediately clutched the weasel, and attacked the ass at his leisure.
Moral of the story: “Never trust your enemy” And to further elucidate, you need not be a Democrat, you can be any kind of ass, and yet still see the pit the weasel is taking you into.
The following are excellent resources for those of us (way more than 75 million strong) who want full and honest news reporting. We’ll be adding to this list as we go along. Those who prefer filtered news—only the news deemed safe for them to know—can stay with the legacy media, such as it is.

Columns worth reading
Each week under this heading, Soap Box will feature columns or intros to columns you can read in full elsewhere on the internet. Each of these columns pretty much express Soap Box’s views, else we’d not be sharing them with you.
The wokies have many pernicious fantasies in their bag of tricks, but none is more dangerous than “critical race theory,” an attempt to introduce racial segregation and racial conflict back into everyday life, the very features we of every color have worked hard to eliminate and in fact have eliminated, not just recently but years ago.
Texas Bill Bans Critical Race Theory from Classrooms
By Allen Zhong, The Epoch Times, May 22, 2021 Updated: May 25, 2021
The Texas state Senate passed a bill on May 22 that prohibits schools from mandating the teaching of critical race theory (CRT).
House Bill 3979 doesn’t mention CRT by name, but apparently aims to ban the quasi-Marxist ideology in public and open-enrollment charter schools.
According to the bill text, teachers, administrators, and employees from state agencies, school districts, and open-enrollment charter schools are prohibited from teaching students that one race is inherently superior to another race or sex or that an individual is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive by virtue of his or her race or sex.
A teacher “may not [be] compelled to discuss current events or widely debated and currently controversial issues of public policy or social affairs” in social studies curriculum in Texas history, U.S. history, world history, government, civics, social studies, or similar subjects, according to the bill.
If teachers choose to discuss the above topics, they must explore those topics from diverse and contending perspectives and can’t give deference to any one perspective.
The bill also requires the State Board of Education to adopt civic education to help students’ understanding of the moral, political, and intellectual foundations of U.S. history and tradition, and the founding documents of the United States.
The Lone Star State’s lower chamber passed the bill on May 11 but will have to approve it again in alignment with revisions made by the state Senate.

CRT—which espouses the idea that race is not natural, but socially constructed to oppress and exploit minorities—is an offshoot of the quasi-Marxist critical theory social philosophy that was promoted by the Frankfurt school of thought.
Then-President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning CRT training in federal agencies in September 2020, with the White House describing it as “anti-American propaganda.”
However, the socialist ideology has been embraced by President Joe Biden and his administration. Biden reversed Trump’s September 2020 executive order after entering the White House and pushed CRT training on all fronts.
The Biden administration’s efforts triggered widespread pushback from federal and state Republican lawmakers, conservatives, and related organizations, as well as parents.

The Texas Public Policy Foundation applauded the state Legislature’s move, saying it will protect students.
“This is a huge win for Texas students. We will not allow state-funded racism in our schools or permit our students to be used as political props … Texas should also redouble its focus on teaching proper civics and ensure students get the full and true history of our state and our country,” Tom Lindsay, the institution’s distinguished senior fellow of higher education and constitutional studies, said in a statement.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office didn’t reply to an email from The Epoch Times asking if the governor will sign the bill into law.
However, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said in a statement on April 28 after the passage of a similar bill, Senate Bill 2202, that CRT has no place in Texas schools.
“Texans reject critical race theory and other so-called ‘woke’ philosophies that maintain that one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex or that any individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive,” he said. “These divisive concepts have been inserted into curriculums around the state, but they have no place in Texas schools.” Follow Allen on Twitter: @AllenZM
